Luis Diaz has announced the birth of his newborn baby girl - less than 24 hours after he fired Liverpool to the Carabao Cup final with a Man of the Match performance against Fulham.
The 27-year-old forward and his long-time girlfriend, Gera Ponce, shared pictures on social media on Thursday celebrating the birth of their daughter Charlotte, whose arrival into the world coincided with the couple's seventh anniversary of dating.
Writing on Instagram, Miss Ponce, who appeared to give birth at a hospital in Porto, Portugal wrote: "CHARLOTTE, [heart emoji] is such a long-awaited and desired little girl, who came into our lives with incredible magic.
"On our 7th anniversary, on April 25, we decided it was time to watch our family grow. Just a month later, also a 25, this time May, we got the news we didn't expect to hear so soon, our baby was already with us.

"And today, January 25, on a day we already considered special, our little girl arrived. God has blessed us with our daughter. Charlotte has arrived to fill us with laughter, love and unforgettable moments. Now the 25th of every month belongs to her. Welcome my magical princess."
For Diaz, the arrival of his second child comes less than 24 hours after he scored a crucial opening goal in Liverpool's Carabao Cup semi-final second-leg draw with Fulham. The Colombian forward continued his electric start to 2024 by superbly controlling Jarell Quansah's cross-field ball before firing a low-driven shot past Fulham goalkeeper Bernd Leno.
