Madrid willing to take Brazil gem Estevao Willian away from Barca
The future of Palmeiras gem Estevao Willian is beginning to heat up as several teams are eyeing his progress. According to 'Goal Brasil', Real Madrid and Chelsea are interested in the 17-year-old striker.
'Messinho' is also on FC Barcelona's agenda. In fact, the Catalan club were favourites for the striker because of his fanaticism for Leo Messi but the club's financial problems are preventing them from making a financial commitment to the Brazilian.
Estevao's clause with Palmeiras is 45 million euros although it could be extended to 55 million euros due to taxes. His good performance is making him an increasingly sought-after player and there are more and more candidates for his services.
'Messinho' has scored in two consecutive matches. In addition, he has played 188 minutes in his last three games, being a starter in two of them. He scored the winning goal in the 98th minute against Botafogo and he caused a penalty that he would end up netting against Cuiaba.
The young Brazilian gem dreams of succeeding and being important at Palmeiras under coach Abel Ferreira. In fact, his coach told the media that he did not want him to leave the club.
For the moment, Estevao is happy to play an increasingly important role in Brazil, but sooner rather than later he will make the jump to Europe and La Liga seems to be in the bidding.
