Man City handed major injury major boost ahead of Liverpool clash
Manchester City are set to have Rodri available for Saturday's Premier League clash against Liverpool after the midfielder started Spain's 3-1 victory over Georgia.
The Spaniard had reportedly complained of discomfort earlier in the international break and as a result sat out of last week's qualifier against Cyprus. However, on Sunday he started Spain's final Euro 2024 qualifier, playing 86 minutes.
It means Rodri is likely to line up for City against Liverpool on Saturday when Jurgen Klopp takes his side to the Etihad for their latest Premier League fixture.

However, Manchester City could still be without talisman Erling Haaland after the striker sat out of Norway's 3-3 draw with Scotland on Sunday evening.
The 23-year-old sustained an ankle injury against the Faroe Islands on Thursday while stretching for a cross and was therefore deemed unfit to take part in Norway's final Euro qualifier at Hampden on Sunday.
Pep Guardiola could also be without Mateo Kovacic, Nathan Ake, Ederson and Matheus Nunes, who could all join Kevin de Bruyne, John Stones and Sergio Gomez on the treatment table.
