Man City 'interested' in Crystal Palace star to 'replace' Riyad Mahrez and more transfer rumours
Manchester City are 'interested' in signing Crystal Palace star Michael Olise in this summer's transfer window.
That is according to a report by Football Insider, which describes City's interest in the Frenchman as being 'genuine'. It is claimed that boss Pep Guardiola, who watched his side beat Yokohama F. Marinos 5-3 on Sunday, sees him as a 'potential replacement' for Riyad Mahrez.
Mahrez is moving closer towards sealing an exit from the Etihad Stadium and joining Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal. The Algerian is the subject of a £30million agreement between the two clubs.
Should Mahrez's move to Saudi Arabia go through without any last-minute snags, City are reportedly going to turn their attention to Olise as a potential replacement. The Frenchman, who joined Palace from Reading in July 2021, is one of the most promising youngsters in the Premier League and is continuing to go from strength-to-strength.

Olise, who can operate as both an attacking midfielder and a winger, reportedly has a £35million release clause in his contract at Palace, meaning City may not find it too difficult to extract him from Selhurst Park. He scored two goals and registered 11 assists in the Premier League last season.
The 21-year-old, who has earned seven caps for France at Under-21 level, is reportedly seen as a 'long-term project' for City. He has netted four goals and registered 16 assists in his Premier League career so far.
Meanwhile, Brighton & Hove Albion are said to be 'interested' in City youngster Oscar Bobb. That is according to a report by TV2 in Norway, who claims that the Seagulls are 'among several clubs' eyeing up his signature.
