Manchester United handed fresh double injury setback in FA Cup vs Coventry
Marcus Rashford was forced off through injury in the latter stages of Manchester United's FA Cup semi-final clash with Coventry City at Wembley on Sunday afternoon.
The academy graduate was taken off in second half injury time and was replaced by Amad, just two minutes after Haji Wright scored from the penalty spot to complete an unlikely Sky Blues comeback. The Championship side had found themselves 3-0 down after 70 minutes but fought back to force the contest into extra time.
Rashford had gone down prior to Wright scoring and appeared to be in discomfort, prompting manager Erik ten Hag to make a change a few minutes later. Amad's introduction meant he joined Antony and Rasmus Hojlund in attack.

Antony had come on just past the hour-mark to replace Alejandro Garnacho, at which point United were 3-0 up. The Reds were cruising towards the final after goals from Scott McTominay, Harry Maguire and Bruno Fernandes.
United encountered more injury issues in the build-up to the clash with the Sky Blues, losing Willy Kambwala, Sofyan Amrabat and Mason Mount to injury. Kambwala's absence meant Maguire was the only senior centre-back available to Ten Hag.
Amid the ongoing crisis, the United boss was forced into deploying Casemiro as a make-shift centre-back, meaning McTominay joined Kobbie Mainoo and Fernandes in midfield. United, as a result, have now encountered 60 separate injury and illness-related issues this season.
