Manchester United have added to their squad this summer with the signings of Andre Onana, Mason Mount and most recently Rasmus Hojlund.
Despite spending over £150 million / $189 million on those three new arrivals, Erik ten Hag is still searching to expand the squad's depth. Injuries to key members of the starting XI has forced Ten Hag to dive back into the transfer market, with the window closing in a matter of days.
Mount picked up an injury in United's disappointing 2-0 defeat at Tottenham and has been ruled out until after the September international break. Luke Shaw is also suffering from a muscular injury and could be out for a few months. His backup, Tyrell Malacia, is yet to recover from an injury he sustained last season, leaving Ten Hag without a senior left-back.
There are also concerns that Raphael Varane has sustained another problem and striker Hojlund was signed despite being unable to start matches straight away. It all means United are looking light in terms of their options despite the level of investment in players.
The Sporting News takes a look at their squad depth situation and who they could look to bring in before the next transfer deadline.
