Manchester United star Mason Mount sends four-word message to Declan Rice after £105m Arsenal transfer
Manchester United's newest signing Mason Mount was among a number of high-profile players to send best wishes to Declan Rice, following confirmation of move from West Ham to Arsenal.
The Hammers confirmed their captain's departure early on Saturday morning after agreeing a 'British record transfer fee'. The Gunners confirmed the signing later in the day, with the deal expected to be worth up to £105million.
Rice spent six years in East London and ended his spell there by winning the Europa Conference League. The 24-year-old quickly became a much-loved figure at the club and posted an emotional video on his social media channels after the news broke.

Mount and Rice have been friends since the pair were eight-years-old, with the pair training together at Chelsea's academy before the latter was released at 14. And the Reds midfielder commented on his mate's leaving video, saying: "Special journey, special player.”
Arsenal are yet to announce the signing of Rice, but should the deal be concluded in time, he could reunite with Mount when Mikel Arteta's side face United in New Jersey on July 22. Both are among several Premier League teams to head to the United States for the bulk of their pre-season campaign.
Mount kicked off his pre-season with an impressive first 45 minutes in red as United beat Leeds 2-0 on Wednesday. The 24-year-old started in midfield and came close to scoring a wonderful long-range chip after some intelligent pressing.
