Manchester United co-chairman Avram Glazer made a rare public appearance at the Reds' 2-0 win over Arsenal at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on Saturday.
United maintained their winning start to their pre-season schedule with a routine triumph over their Premier League counterparts, thanks to goals from Bruno Fernandes and Jadon Sancho. Glazer was among more than 80,000 people in attendance.
Following the contest, Glazer was spotted in the bowels of the stadium by gathered members of the media. Some attempted to grab an update on the takeover situation from him but he was unwilling to provide an answer.
It is more than eight months since the club was put up for sale and prospective buyers Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani and Sir Jim Ratcliffe are still waiting to find out if they will land the keys to Old Trafford. The former wants full control of the club while Ratcliffe wants a majority stake.
