Manchester United are 'very interested' in signing Lille striker Jonathan David in this month's transfer window.
That is according to a report by FootballTransfers, which claims United, who strengthened their attacking department in the summer with the addition of Rasmus Hojlund, have been 'kept updated' on his situation at the French club. The Canadian international has been linked with a string of big-name clubs in recent years.
David, 23, joined Lille in August 2020 from Belgian club Gent and his since gone from strength-to-strength, scoring 68 goals in 160 appearances for the club. He has plundered 10 goals in 24 matches so far this term.

David has scored 26 goals in 45 senior appearances for his country. He netted 26 goals for Lille last season and the report claims Aston Villa are also keen on signing the Lille ace with David 'eager' to leave the French club.
United desperately need to add to their attacking ranks this month with goals via their forwards proving hard to come by so far this season. Rasmus Hojlund has scored just once in the Premier League so far.
