Marks and Spencer has 'cracked it' with 'very flattering' £39.50 jeans

M&S fans are loving a pair of high waisted jeans they say are "very flattering" and the "best pair of jeans."

The retailer's High Waisted Smart Wide Leg Jeans are priced at £39.50 and can add some '70s-inspired flare to your look and feature a high waist and added stretch. They have a front crease and tailored appearance.

M&S stocks a wide range of jeans, including Sienna Supersoft Straight Leg Jeans for £32.50 and the Magic Shaping Straight Leg Jeans for £45. The retailer also has the The Wide-Leg Jeans for £35.

The jeans have an overall rating of 4.6 stars out of five, with more than 200 five star reviews. Among them, one person said: "Best pair of jeans for years. Great length and good fit on waist."

A second wrote: "Great wide leg jeans, high waist gives a smooth look, detail seam down the front makes them look smart, had lots of compliments when wearing them." Another said: "Good quality light weight comfortable white jeans. Very flattering. Tempted to buy another colour."

A fourth shopper added: "Great fit and shape. I’m 5ft 1in and don’t always find wide-legged trousers very flattering. But M&S seemed to have really cracked it with these jeans and the wide-legged cords I’ve lived in all winter. Neat fit around hips & bottom and they don’t swamp you."

However, one person said: "The jeans looked great and fitted perfectly until I washed them. They shrunk and the fit wasn’t the same. Didn’t feel as high waisted or as long after washing on a machine 30degree wash."

Another wrote: "I ordered short but they are ridiculously long and not at all smart. Returned them."
