Marquinhos full of praise for coach Luis Enrique ahead of Dortmund decider
Paris Saint-Germain captain Marquinhos said they have prepared "with the serenity that comes from a whole season's work" for the Champions League semi-final second leg against Borussia Dortmund and praised the contribution of coach Luis Enrique.
"The coach has prepared us well all season to get here"’ said the Brazilian player, who considered that they are "ready" to face the duel in which they will have to come back from 1-0 down in the first leg.
Marquinhos, who will be playing in the Champions League semi-finals for the third time, said that although "every game has its own history" and the past counts for little, "experience can be important". "The coach has it too and knows how to prepare for these kind of key games," he added.
"Luis Enrique insists that the game lasts 90 minutes or even 120. We have to know that if we score a goal it's not over, as happened in Barcelona," he continued.
The captain insisted on "relying on collective work" and avoiding individuality, while also pointing out that they are looking for "the cohesion of the group, the will to help each other".
