Mikel Arteta will be hoping Gabriel Martinelli can recover from injury for Arsenal's Champions League second-leg clash against Porto. The 22-year-old was substituted in the 6-0 win against Sheffield United and was left out of the matchday squad to face Brentford on Saturday.
Prior to the win over the Blades, the Gunners lost the first leg to Porto in the dying minutes and will therefore need to beat the Portuguese side in 90 minutes to have any chance of reaching the quarter-finals.
In Premier League action, Arsenal picked up another victory this past weekend with Kai Havertz scoring a late winner against Brentford after Declan Rice saw his opener cancelled out by Yoane Wissa. Bukayo Saka headed into the clash as a doubt, however he went on to play the full 90 minutes but was unable to hit a nine-game run of picking up at least one goal contribution.
Oleksandr Zinchenko also played his first minutes since the win against Liverpool in early February. Thomas Partey and Gabriel Jesus also both featured at Emirates Stadium having recently overcome injury problems. With that in mind, football.london has taken a look at the latest Arsenal injury news ahead of Porto.
Martinelli was not named in the squad to face Brentford. football.london spotted the Brazil international walking through the 'mixed zone' on crutches and thus he is a major doubt to face Porto in the Champions League.
