At club level, many are saying it’s time to start, including former international Torsten Frings who has warned Thomas Tuchel that he could ‘scare Tel away’.
Tuchel has said it’s a ‘matter of time’ before Tel is a starter, but from the teenager's perspective, he simply says he ‘won’t complain and will accept the few minutes’.
Such an attitude has earned him praise all round, especially from goalkeeping stand-in Sven Ulreich.
