Jose Mourinho has been sacked by Roma on Tuesday morning following the club's 3-1 defeat to AC Milan.
The former Chelsea and Manchester United manager had won just one of their past six league games, while they were also dumped out of the Coppa Italia by arch-rivals Lazio last week.
In total, Roma have won just eight of their 20 matches in Serie A this season and sit behind the likes of Bologna, Atalanta and Fiorentina in the race for European qualification.

Born on July 24, 1983, De Rossi joined the Roma youth set up back in 2000 from Ostia Mare.
The 40-year-old made his first team debut for Roma under Fabio Capello on 30 October 2001 against Belgian side Anderlecht in the UEFA Champions League.
In his first season with the club, he would go also go on to make three appearances in the Coppa Italia.
The following season, De Rossi made his Serie A debut in January 2003 against Como - with his first start coming, along with his first league goal coming, coming four months later against Torino.
De Rossi, 40, would play for the club between 2001 and 2019, going onto captain the club and win two Coppa Italias before leaving for Boca Juniors.
He made over 600 appearances for the Serie A outfit before heading to Argentina - where he would make five appearances for Boca Juniors in a short spell in South America.
De Rossi earned his first cap for the Italian national team in 2004 in a 2-1 win away to Norway. A year later, he would go on to captain his beloved nation for the first time in a goalless draw
