Michael Keane believes Everton are working on bringing in more attacking additions to ensure they don’t struggle in front of goal this season.
Everton finished 17th in the Premier League last season, two points above the drop zone, and only secured their place in this season’s top-flight with a 1-0 home win over Bournemouth on the final day. Just as worrying was the fact that the Blues only managed to score 34 goals in 38 league games.
The Blues ended the season with four league goals from their three frontline attackers - Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Neal Maupay and Ellis Simms, who has since departed for Coventry City.
Heading into this summer’s transfer window, Everton could also not afford to gamble on the club's top-flight status by neglecting their forward line again. They have already recruited Ashley Young and Arnaut Danjuma, but their need for attacking reinforcements was further laid bare when they missed a string of chances during the 0-0 pre-season draw against Bolton Wanderers at the Toughsheet Community Stadium on Tuesday night.

"Yeah, that would be nice," centre-back Keane replied following the draw when asked if he was hoping to see some more new faces join the club this summer. "I think that is what the club is aiming to do. I don’t think it is easy, but I am sure they will be trying."
Before he added: "I think you could look at the squad and get better in a lot of positions, but we had periods where we struggled for goals.
"In the Premier League, you find it tough when that is the case, so I am sure they will be looking to bring more goals in. We hope Danjuma will give us that,
