Chelsea's 4-1 win over Tottenham had a bit of everything. VAR drama, offside goals — five of them — red cards — two of them — controversial decisions and moments throughout and eventually three points. It was rarely pretty but always entertaining, at least for the neutral.
For Mauricio Pochettino the game may have not felt in control throughout but the former Tottenham boss managed to come away from his visit back to the stadium he once used to call home with all three points. It also comes with the positive nature of the result given the continuing injury issues.
Chelsea were still without seven first team players on Monday but welcomed back Reece James to the starting line-up for the first time since the opening day of the season. The club captain played until his side went ahead before being replaced by Malo Gusto.
Here, football.london brings you the latest from the Blues' treatment room.
James was handed a first start in the league since his injury against Liverpool. He played more than 75 minutes before being taken off for Malo Gusto with his side 2-1 up against Tottenham.
Mudryk was absent from the matchday squad to face Brentford over last weekend and also missed the cup win over Blackburn but was in the squad against Tottenham. He didn't start the game.
Cole Palmer was spotted hobbling in the second half of the Carabao Cup win over Blackburn. The 21-year-old was on the field until the 86th minute by which stage he looked to have overcome a kick to the ankle that saw him moving gingerly and trying not to put too much pressure on his foot.
Palmer started against Tottenham and looks to be fully fit.
