Gary Neville has criticized Liverpool for using "dangerous phrases" as well as being "vague" and "aggressive" in a strongly-worded statement that criticized PGMOL.
A day after Luis Diaz's goal against Spurs was incorrectly disallowed for offside, Liverpool released a statement saying the explanation from PGMOL – the body responsible for referees in the Premier League – was "unacceptable" and that they planned to explore a "range of options available" in the meantime.
And the former Manchester United defender Gary Neville reacted to the above statement made by Liverpool.
"Jurgen Klopp handled the situation well last night after the game. Most football fans will have had empathy with what happened and recognized it was wrong!" Neville wrote on X.
"However Liverpool's statement tonight is a mistake! Talk of exploring all options (what does that mean!!! ) and sporting integrity are dangerous phrases along with being vague and aggressive."
Neville added: "Sorry we fxxxd up was enough!! I said this last night. Sorry should be respected and not undervalued. This is a snap reaction that can always be wrong but I feel strongly about it."
