Sefton Park Social is a new music, food and drink festival experience launching in spring.
The festival will include everything from disco, soul, Motown, jazz, Latin, folk, country, indie, 80s, 90s and beyond. The programme kicks off on the first May bank holiday (May 4, 5) with the Saturday event as an official fundraiser for Africa Oyé to help ensure it remains free.
Sefton Park Social will celebrate the life and music of Fela Kuti and Bob Marley and their influences with Trenchtown and Freetown DJs taking to the stage plus more, including 'Jazz in the Park' events, which will be announced soon.

Liverpool Disco Festival takes over Sunday with DJs and producers Dave Lee fka Joey Negro, Glitterbox crew Lev & Moplen, New York House legend Pal Joey, and NTS Radio’s Giles Smith & LDF DJs on support. A 'Klopp in the Park' extravaganza is also planned featuring a huge screening of his final game in charge against Wolves. Expect a fun-filled ‘Klopp Mask Party’ with live bands & DJs playing nothing but anthems.
To round off the day, there will be a red sky lantern release for the momentous occasion. Sefton Park Social will also offer cultural, craft and well-being activities including vintage stalls, yoga and kid play days for all the family. Details of other forthcoming events will be dropping over the coming weeks along with details of bottomless brunches, outdoor cinema evenings and more.
Events will be both open air and/or covered where weather requires and tickets are limited to 450 per event. Tickets for the first phase of Sefton Park Social events go on sale Thursday at 9am here.
