Southampton have turned down a new approach from Newcastle for Tino Livramento, talkSPORT understands.
Following the Saints' relegation to the Championship, the 20-year-old has been linked with a move away.
He signed for Southampton from Chelsea in 2021 and has since made 34 appearances for them in all competitions.
However, he played just twice last season due to an ACL injury he suffered in April last year.
Despite such woes, Newcastle are keen to offer him a route back into Premier League football this summer.
The Magpies are believed to have offered £30million for the right-back, who has made five appearances for the England U21s.
However, this is way below Southampton's valuation, with the Championship newcomers wanting £50million.
The Saints do not want to sell Livramento this summer, despite their relegation to the second-tier.
Newcastle have been working hard to improve their squad even further after a superb season in which they finished fourth in the Premier League to secure Champions League football.
They have already welcomed the arrival of Sandro Tonali, who has joined the club from AC Milan in a £52million deal.
Eddie Howe's side are also set to welcome Harvey Barnes from Leicester after agreeing a fee worth more than £35million.
Allan Saint-Maximin could be set to leave Newcastle this summer, though, after Howe confirmed he is in talks to depart amid links with a move to Saudi Arabia.
