Nottingham Forest make an offer for PSV Eindhoven midfielder Ibrahim Sangaré | OneFootball
The Athletic reports that Nottingham Forest have made an offer for PSV Eindhoven’s Ibrahim Sangaré. The Premier League side have shown interest in Sangaré for a while now, having first targeted the Ivory Coast international last summer. Now, they’ve officially submitted an offer for the 25-year-old. Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool are also said to be admirers.
Sangaré has been a crucial player for PSV ever since he signed from Toulouse in 2020. The Dutch giants value the player at around €35m (£30m), with four years remaining on his current contract. Nottingham Forest have registered their interest in the midfielder, but first, they must meet the asking price. The next step will be fighting off competition from the queue of other interested clubs.
Last season Sangaré featured 45 times in all competitions as PSV finished second in the Eredivisie and lifted the KNVB Cup. Ibrahim Sangaré scored eight goals and provided three assists. PSV’s new head coach, Peter Bosz will be keen to keep the defensive midfielder at the club. However, if an offer comes in from the right club, it’s likely Sangaré will take the opportunity and leave.
