Rennes have tonight announced the signing of midfielder Enzo Le Fée from Breton rivals Lorient, with the French youth international putting pen to paper on a five-year contract.
In the wake of his breakout season with Les Merlus this past campaign, the 23-year-old had attracted interest from clubs in Ligue 1 and beyond – with Borussia Dortmund having reportedly been in the race for his signing as well.
Le Fée has instead opted to remain in France – and stay in Brittany, even – as he joins Europa League-bound Rennes, who also confirmed the arrival of Ludovic Blas from Nantes earlier in the week.
The Frenchman leaves his hometown club having made 142 first-team appearances over four full seasons, while his contract was expiring at the end of next season. Last season, he scored five and set up another five goals as rookie manager Régis Le Bris led the team to an impressive top-half finish, having even occupied second place for several weeks during the autumn.
