OpTic Gaming (OG) is one of the prominent Apex Legends professional teams that participate in ALGS (Apex Legends Global Series). The official X page of OpTic Gaming recently announced the departure of the roster - Dropped, SkittleCakez, and Knoqd, which caught the majority of the fan base by surprise. It is a sudden development and could be a sign of the organization leaving the ALGS pro scene.
The X post quickly gained traction and the community flooded the comments section with different takes on this decision.
This article will highlight OpTic Gaming retiring the complete ALGS roster.
OpTic Gaming has displayed consistent performance and recorded several highlight moments in the past. However, the trio had a downfall in recent years and failed to qualify for the LAN event by missing the selection placement by two positions. The team secured 14th position in the playoffs while only the first 12 teams are given a slot for the LAN matches.
One of the players from the roasted, Dropped, created a post on X addressing this news. He stated that he was no longer a part of OG and the organization seems to have decided to exit the ALGS scene. He further went on to thank all his fans for their support and expressed pleasure to have been a part of a great professional Apex Legends team.
This means that all three players from the roster - Dropped, SkittleCakez, and Knoqd, are now free agents and can enter other teams. However, this is a difficult route as the trio had been a part of OG for a long time and would now have to explore different options.
