Manchester United are reportedly in discussions with Disney over a documentary deal surrounding the club.
It is reported by the Athletic that United and the American media giants are in talks over documentaries that would focus on the era of success under legendary former manager Sir Alex Ferguson. It is said that the proposal would include in-depth interviews with Ferguson as well as archive footage provided by the club and insights into players involved in the era.
Any deal is reported to be worth a multi-million-point sum, with United keen to generate more streams of revenue amid the Premier League’s crackdown on profitability and sustainability rules (PSRs). Bringing more money into the club could increase the transfer kitty available to Erik ten Hag, or whoever is in charge in the summer in order to improve the squad in the summer window.

The report over the talks between United and Disney has prompted a three-word response from Arsenal fan Piers Morgan. He wrote on X: “Mickey Mouse club - official.”
Disney +, the company’s streaming service have had success with their ‘Welcome To Wrexham’ series, which tracks the League Two club’s journey since a takeover by Holywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney. There are however no talks between Disney and the club for a similar insight into the current going on at the club, similar to those that have been done for Tottenham, Sunderland and Manchester City for their ‘All or Nothing documentaries.
