Brennan Johnson's imminent deadline day arrival from Nottingham Forest will leave Ange Postecoglou with his first serious attacking headache at Tottenham.
The Wales international is edging closer to completing his summer move to Spurs. The north Londoners reached an agreement with Forest over a deal upwards of £45million for the forward, with his medical expected to be completed at Hotspur Way today.
Johnson's arrival hands Postecoglou his priority attacking target, especially after Harry Kane's blockbuster move to Bayern Munich last month. Tottenham are now well-stacked in the final third with Johnson joining Richarlison, Dejan Kulusevski, Heung-min Son and Ivan Perisic.
Whilst some supporters are keen for more deals to be completed by the club, Tottenham have now secured nine permanent deals throughout the summer. Johnson joins James Maddison, Micky van den Ven, Guglielmo Vicario, Alejo Veliz and Ashley Phillips. Pedro Porro and Dejan Kulusevski also made their initial loan moves permanent earlier in the window.
So, with that being said, football.london has taken a look at how Spurs could line up once Johnson's £45million move is confirmed.
Formation
Postecoglou tried and tested 4-3-3 has worked wonders so far this season. Having summer signing Maddison float into advanced positions has helped Spurs' front three. In attack, it's more of a 4-2-3-1 system with Pape Matar Sarr and Yves Bissouma taking up deeper positions.
