Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti did not give anything away regarding the future of Toni Kroos, with his contract up in less than two months. The Italian has maintained previously that he felt Kroos would continue with them, but did not do so on this occasion.
After confirming that Aurelien Tchouameni was a doubt for the Champions League final, Ancelotti was asked about Toni Kroos’ future. The question was prefaced with the idea that a few weeks ago there seemed to be certainty over his future, but now that had been cast into doubt. Kroos stayed out on the pitch at the Santiago Bernabeu after their win over Bayern Munich when the stadium was empty, and was joined by his family too.
"[The Ballon d'Or] is not delivered today. Vinicius is doing well, he has the final and the Copa America left. He is close in the running and if he finishes well, if he makes the final of the Copa America with Brazil, he can win it."
