Feyenoord striker Santiago Gimenez was in attendance at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday afternoon to watch Tottenham's North London Derby defeat against Arsenal. Making a huge impression in the Eredivisie with Feyenoord ever since his move from Mexican side Cruz Azul in 2022, the 23-year-old frontman has been linked with a Premier League move after scoring goals for fun in the Netherlands.
Tottenham are one of the clubs who have been mentioned in regards to a move for the Mexican international and the same goes for north London rivals Arsenal. It's not hard to see why the Buenos Aires-born player, who is valued at £39million by Transfermarkt, has been linked with a Premier League transfer after registering 47 goals in 85 appearances for Arne Slot's impressive team.
Scoring 23 goals in 45 appearances in all competitions last season, Gimenez has already bettered his numbers this term after scoring 24 times in 40 appearances. As the Dutch side do still have three games left to go in the 2023/24 campaign, the prolific frontman will be confident of getting a few more goals to his name before the season comes to a close.
Following Feyenoord's Eredivisie fixture on Thursday evening against Go Ahead Eagles, Slot's squad appear to have been give some time off by the head coach if Gimenez's Instagram Stories are anything to go by. Pictured taking his seat on the Eurostar heading to London, Gimenez and his fiancée uploaded a number of images from a London hotel and they took part in a gym session before heading to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for Spurs' showdown against Arsenal.
