According to French media Sports Zone, Saudi Arabian second-division side Al-Qadsiah are “dreaming” of signing Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne (32).
Belgium international De Bruyne has had an injury-hit season at the Etihad season, however, he is once again proving influential since making his return. He has an incredible 13 assists in 14 games in all competitions this season, and he remains a key component of this highly successful, treble-chasing Manchester City side.
However, there is a question mark surrounding his future, especially given that De Bruyne’s current deal with the reigning Premier League champions expires at the end of next season. According to Sports Zone, Al-Gadsiah could be tempted to make a move for the midfielder at the end of the season.
Currently in the second division in Saudi Arabia, the team, who have significant financial means, are set for a promotion. They currently sit top of the table and are six points adrift with eight games remaining in the league season. The Khobar-based club are looking to make a statement as they prepare to join the top flight, and De Bruyne’s arrival would represent just that.
