Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay thinks the best is yet to come from him in his career because he developed late.
McTominay progressed through the club's academy and made his debut in 2017, but he made his fewest starts in a Premier League campaign in four years last term and he's set for a reduced squad role again this time around.
The academy product made just 10 league starts last season and his sale was considered by Erik ten Hag in the summer.

McTominay hasn't been a regular starter with Ten Hag in charge, although his performances for Scotland have caught attention as he's currently the joint top goalscorer in Euro 2024 qualifying with an impressive six-goal haul.
Scotland play McTominay in a more advanced midfield position and his displays have inspired improvement for Steve Clarke's side.
On an individual basis, McTominay thinks he'll continue to improve and he recently told club media he's not reached his peak yet.
"My dad was brilliant because he would always say, 'Just take your time, son'," McTominay said. "'You're going to grow and you're going to get bigger', because he knows, doesn’t he? As a kid, you don't know that.
"And you always think: I'm always the latest one. But then, when I did grow, when I was 17 or 18, I was sat next to him and I was above him. I was like: 'What’s going on here? Four years ago, you were saying to me not to worry, and now look'.
"I’d be thinking to myself: I'm bigger than my dad and he's 6ft 2in. So it's crazy in that respect. The way I see it now is that I grew maybe four years after everyone else, so my peak years are going to be four years later, too.
"So I’m 26 now and my body age is technically like a 22-year-old.
