A Scouse musician was on holiday in Mexico when his life completely changed.
Jordan Neill, is a 32 year-old from Kirkby. His incredible dance remixes of previously unknown songs have been streamed over a million times on Spotify across 158 countries.
His interest in music started as a child in his nan’s house. Laughing about those times, Jordan said: “She had a keyboard in the bedroom.
"I’d just go upstairs, bash it about and be a headache for everyone I think.”

His dad soon bought him a keyboard of his own, which he used to self-teach music theory in the absence of sites such as YouTube. He then learnt about mixing tracks when using an editing software in a school lesson.
Jordan said: “We spent the lesson messing about with it and by the end I thought I was Dr Dre. It probably sounded like pots and pans falling down the stairs. That was it, just programming beats.”
After school finished, Jordan attended a music college, and began mixing music regularly and uploading his efforts on Soundcloud. He focussed on reproducing songs lost to time, and through this found Too Much For Me, a tune initially released by American singer J.J. Cale.
Jordan said: “I loved the sound of it. It was a bit slower and a bit more out of tempo to what it should have been, so I did a slight rework of it.”
After he uploaded his remix in late 2021, he noticed the song picking up more traction on Soundcloud than his other remixes. When he was in an airport soon after, waiting to go on holiday to Mexico, its popularity reached new heights after thousands of SoundClouds had the song automatically played thanks to the site's algorithms.
