Everton manager Sean Dyche has confirmed that Beto will miss the next two fixtures as the club continues to follow protocol after his heavy collision on Sunday.
The striker was substituted late on during the 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest after a nasty clash with Morgan Gibbs-White. Beto was treated on the field for around 10 minutes after being knocked unconscious and was taken to hospital, although he has since been released.
However, Wednesday's Merseyside derby and the clash with Brentford are set to come too soon for the Portuguese.

"He definitely won't feature these next couple of games," confirmed Dyche at his pre-match press conference on Tuesday. "But he'll be back after that - for all of the protocols and rightly so.
"Good news so far (on his recovery). He's had all of the checks needed and he's fine. He just took a real knock."
Beto replaced Dominic Calvert-Lewin on Sunday, with the latter seemingly struggling with his fitness before being withdrawn.
Calvert-Lewin was left out of the squad for the 6-0 loss at Chelsea due to a hamstring issue and his discomfort against Forest has prompted some concern that Everton's striking options could be depleted even further for the derby.
Dyche revealed that Calvert-Lewin is a doubt for the fixture, but did not rule him out of the contest.
"(We are) hopeful that he will be back for tomorrow," he said. "We will wait and see until tomorrow but we are hopeful on that one."
