Tim Sherwood has taken issue with Kai Havertz handing his shirt over to a member of Brighton's coaching staff after the final whistle of the Arsenal's 3-0 win over the Seagulls.
Havertz continues to silence his doubters, following his big-money summer move from Chelsea, with standout performances for Mikel Arteta's side.
The German scored the second of three goals for the north Londoners as they put together their latest commanding display to leapfrog Liverpool at the top of the Premier League, ahead of their trip to Old Trafford on Sunday.
But despite his fine work, former Tottenham manager Sherwood has blasted the 24-year-old for his actions on Saturday night.
Havertz was seen giving his jersey to Seagulls coach Marcattilio Marcattilii after the final whistle, a move Sherwood deemed unacceptable.
'Interesting there I see Kai Havertz giving his shirt to the assistant manager of Brighton,' he said HUB Premier 1’s TV coverage of the game. 'I can’t have that. What the hell is that man thinking about?!'
It's unlikely the forward will take much notice of the criticism after netting his ninth Premier League goal of the campaign and his fifth in seven games.
He has also provided four assists across those fixtures as the Gunners have set a blistering pace in 2024 to put themselves in contention to win the Premier League for the first time in 20 years.
Many had expected a trip to the Amex to be a stern test but after a very brief spell at the start of the game where Brighton were in the ascendency, Arteta's side dictated play before taking the lead with Bukayo Saka's penalty.
Havertz then gave the visitors breathing room in the second half before former Seagull Leandro Trossard added the third in the final 10 minutes.
