Here is your Tottenham morning roundup on Sunday, August 20.
First win under Postecoglou
Tottenham earned their first win under Ange Postecoglou on Saturday afternoon with an impressive 2-0 victory over Manchester United.
A second-half strike by Pape Matar Sarr was followed by a late Lisandro Martinez own goal to lift Spurs into sixth.
Son loving life at Spurs
Tottenham captain Son Heung-min has heaped praise on new head coach Ange Postecoglou and his style of football.
"I think you can see the last two games, it's very early, but we want to have the ball, create chances, play attacking football, if we lose the ball we're going to be counter pressing, it's really, really fun even to play in but I think watching this game is more enjoyable for the Spurs fans," Son explained.
"100% it's enjoyable for the players, for the attacking players, I don't know about the defenders, but for me, it's playing high, pressing high, it's an easier job than running 70 metres behind!"
Lukaku talks
Tottenham have held 'preliminary talks' with Romelu Lukaku over a potential shock transfer involving the Chelsea striker.
That's according to Calciomercato, who claim Spurs have held talks with the player's representatives but aren't prepared to go all in to sign him.
It's claimed his wages could prove to be an issue. Lukaku has struggled to impress since returning to England in 2021 and spent last season on loan at Inter Milan.
