There was no faulting any of Stellenbosch’s performance on Wednesday, said coach Steve Barker, as they romped to a 3-0 home win over TS Galaxy and climbed up four places to 10th in the DStv Premiership standings.
Stellenbosch had not won in their previous five league encounters but were always in the frontfront as Thabo Moloisane scored first and then Devon Titus and substitute Antonio van Wyk added goals.
“I thought from first minute to the last I think we were just on point,” said a beaming Barker after the game.
“We played with a lot of energy, a lot of intensity and looked dangerous on transition. We also moved the ball, kept the ball. I thought the commitment of the players was first class. So yeah, really pleased in terms of overall performance.”
The Stelle4nsboch coach also singkled out individual performances as his side won the third timein nineb games.
“There were a couple of players getting opportunities again; (Qobolkwakhe) Sibande has had an extended run at left back ands is showing his quality and (Anicet) Oura was really good upfront tonight.
“We finished the game with some of our DStv Diski Challenge graduates. They're all coming on and all improving. I mean, you know people like Devin Titus and Jaden Adams are now seasoned in the PSL but come from our DDC side. Antonio Van Wyk, Mervin Boji, Kyle Jurgens and Liam De Kock.
“Iit was no fluke that we won the DDC league with that group of players and they went on won the NextGen tournament overseas. So you know, now we can see there's some real good quality coming through with that sort of batch of players.
