The double challenge Messi will face in tonight's Leagues Cup final with Inter Miami
He could win the club's first trophy and become, along with Alves, the player with the most titles
Saturday could be a great day for Leo Messi and Inter Miami.
The club coached by'El Tata' Martino will play the first final in its history and can finally add to its trophy cabinet with the Leagues Cup, the official tournament that MLS and Liga MX teams have been playing and that Leo has dominated with nine goals in six games played.
Inter Miami will play against Nashville as the visiting side in its own stadium, Geodis Park, which happens to be the largest MLS venue in the league.
Leo, moreover, can become, if he wins, the player with the most titles in the history of soccer, tying Dani Alves with 44. The Brazilian player is no longer in a position to fight for titles and Leo still has many more opportunities for titles.
Next Wednesday he'll play against Cincinnati in the semifinal of the US Open Cup, the Cup of the country. Then comes a hypothetical final.
Inter, remember, has already qualified for the next Concacaf Champions Cup, but wants the first Leagues Cup. It would be a historic double milestone for Messi, who continues to make history wherever he goes.
