La Liga announced on Monday, along with the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), that the matches of matchdays 37 and 38 of the First Division and 41 and 42 of the Second Division will be scheduled in a unified timetable, as has been done in previous seasons.
The unification will affect all league matches whose results directly affect the determination of the championship, access to European competitions, Super Cup places and relegation places. Meanwhile, in the second division, it will affect the championship, direct promotion, the play-off for promotion and relegation.
La Liga explained that for those matches in which the same sporting objective is at stake, but their results do not impact on other matches where different objectives are at stake, the possibility of scheduling the kick-offs in a separate unified timetable is contemplated.
The body indicated that it will make public the specific times of each match as the sporting objectives of each team are defined.
