Euro 2024 will take place between 14th June and 14th July next year in Germany. It will be the second time the country has hosted the tournament, following the 1988 tournament.
Little by little, we have been getting to know the teams that have qualified for the tournament, starting with the hosts, a Germany that wants to regain its level of a decade ago.
In fact, we already know the 24 countries that will be battling it out next summer. Twenty of them made it through the qualifying round, while the last three made it through the play-offs.
Germany
The hosts of the next continental tournament have qualified precisely because of their status as hosts. The team now coached by Julian Nagelsmann, however, has not found its feet in the friendlies and leaves many doubts ahead of next summer's tournament.
France
The first team to qualify for Euro 2024, after Germany. The world runners-up finished as group winners in a group with the Netherlands, Greece, Ireland and Gibraltar, and did so with a near-full house of victories. 22 points out of 24.
Belgium
The Red Devils, now with Tedesco on the bench, drew only against Austria and Sweden, but have looked good after a dreadful World Cup. Romelu Lukaku seems to have regained his hunger for goals, being the top scorer of the entire qualifying phase with 14 goals.
Portugal
Cristiano Ronaldo will be able to play in what is expected to be his last major tournament with Portugal, if he does not make it to 2026. The 'Quinas', under Roberto Martinez, have had a perfect run of form, with 10 wins in 10 games, 36 goals scored and 2 conceded. Nobody has been better than Portugal in this qualification phase.
