According to Sports Zone, Thomas Tuchel is interested in becoming the next Manchester United manager should the job at Old Trafford become vacant. The Bayern Munich manager is set to leave his current role at the end of the season after the club missed out on the Bundesliga title.
Tuchel has already informed his agents that he would be keen to assume the role should INEOS relieve Erik Ten Hag of his services. There is lots of speculation around the former Ajax manager’s future at Manchester United after a poor second season in charge of the Red Devils. The Manchester club look set to miss out on Champions League football.
The former Chelsea and PSG manager isn’t the only manager to state his interest in the Manchester United job should it become available. Zinedine Zidane also appears to be open to managing at Old Trafford, with the former Real Madrid manager preferring the role at United ahead of Bayern Munich, according toL’Équipe. Tuchel may be in the lead to land the role though. Several INEOS leaders are interested in appointing Tuchel, Sports Zone report.
