While Tottenham were in the midst of their Premier League battle with West Ham United on Tuesday night, a number of players linked with a summer move to Spurs were sending transfer reminders to them.
The quick turnaround in action saw Spurs make the short trip across London to face fierce rivals West Ham on Tuesday following Saturday's comeback win over Luton Town. And Spurs got off to the perfect start, with Brennan Johnson continuing his fine run of form with a goal from Timo Werner's cross.
However, Kurt Zouma nodded in — probably off his back actually — Jarrod Bowen's corner to level the scores before the break. And while Tottenham enjoyed the lion's share of the possession — and West Ham looked set to repel them, rather than attack — they lacked a cutting edge in the final third and had to settle for a point.
While they were in action, though, certain transfer targets were not finding it so difficult to hit the back of the net. Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo — linked last summer as Spurs sought two new centre-back signings — scored the Whites' only goal in a 3-1 defeat at Nottingham Forest.
Adarabioyo is out of contract in west London this summer and will be a free agent. He was keen to join Monaco over Spurs last summer, although that move never materialised, and could be on Ange Postecoglou's radar once again.
