The Premier League have confirmed the refereeing team for this weekend’s North London Derby. Tottenham will host Arsenal on Sunday in a clash that could be crucial to both team’s seasons.
Arsenal will be under pressure to get a positive result, with their title rivals in action during midweek. The Gunners sit top of the Premier League table, above Liverpool on goal difference and one point clear of Manchester City.
Tottenham will also have more than bragging rights on the line as Ange Postecoglou’s side fight for a top four spot. Having been out of action for just over a fortnight, Spurs could possibly find themselves nine points behind Aston Villa and cannot afford many slip-ups with so few games remaining.

The Premier League have announced that Michael Oliver will be the referee in charge at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Oliver has overseen four Arsenal league games and three Spurs games, respectively, this season.
Most notably, Oliver was the referee for Spurs’ 4-1 defeat to Chelsea in November, when Tottenham were reduced to nine men. From an Arsenal perspective, Oliver was criticised by Arsenal supporters for not showing Manchester City midfielder Mateo Kovacic a second yellow card during the teams’ league game in October.
Oliver will be helped by his assistants Stuart Burn and Dan Cook. Andy Madley will be on fourth official duty.
The VAR will be Jarred Gillett. The Australian official was last on VAR duty for an Arsenal game in their recent clash with Man City; he was last VAR in a Spurs match against Brighton in February.
