Sekhukhune United coach Brandon Truter is looking for a positive first-leg result on Saturday as his side make their debut in African club competition, taking on St Eloi Lupopo in the African Confederation Cup.
The two teams meet at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane with the return leg to come in Kinshasa and Truter says it is important that they be able to take a lead to the away leg, even if he knows little about the opposition.
“Yeah, it's a bit tough. We are going in blind,” Truter told supersport.com on Friday.
“Their league has been in recess, or stopped, for quite some time now. So getting recent footage on them has not been possible. And that's a challenge. But for us the best way to go about our planning at this moment is preparing ourselves as best as we can.
“It is a home game, ultimately, so yeah, we have to prepare as best as possible and put our best foot forward. With it being at home, we would like to take a positive result to Kinshasa for the second leg.”
