Verratti in talks with Al Hilal as PSG ask more than €30m fee as condition
Al Hilal are in talks with midfielder Marco Verratti after Paris St Germain team-mate Kylian Mbappe refused to discuss a world record £259million move.
Verratti, who has a contract with the Ligue 1 side to 2026, has been offered a three-year deal by the Saudi Pro League side.
The Italy international, 30, has spent the majority of his career at the Parc des Princes after joining from Pescara in 2012.
Since then, he has made 416 appearances for the Ligue 1 club, winning nine league titles in the process.
According to Romano, Paris Saint-Germain want more than €30m fee as condition to give the final green light and let Marco Verratti leave to Saudi. Negotiations are ongoing.
Mbappe has rejected a world record £259m move to Al-Hilal by declining to speak to the Saudi Arabian club's delegation.
PSG had given representatives of Al Hilal permission to discuss the transfer with the 24-year-old after agreeing the fee earlier this week.
Al Hilal's representatives have been in the French capital this week but Mbappe and his entourage have no intention of negotiating despite a salary package of over £600million also being promised.
The French champions have put their superstar up for sale following his decision not to extend his contract at Parc de Princes.
His current deal will expire at the end of next season when he will be able to leave the club on a free transfer with Real Madrid waiting to pounce. PSG are adamant that will not happen and are actively listening to offers for the World Cup winner.
