The Single Disciplinary Judge of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has handed down a two-match ban to Rayo Majadahonda's Senegalese goalkeeper Cheikh Sarr for his sending-off in the match against Sestao on the last day of the Primera Federacion league season.
Sarr was sent off last Saturday for jumping over the fence and confronting a Sestao fan behind his goal who was hurling racist insults at him. His team, Rayo Majadahonda, decided for this reason to leave the pitch in the 84th minute and the match at Las Llanas was suspended.
Shortly after the news broke, the goalkeeper spoke to 'Marca' and gave his thoughts on the decision. "Defending my dignity is worth more than anything," he said, although he regretted the collective damage: "It hurts me a lot for the club and the three points.
