The Real Madrid player is collaborating with PlayStation to produce a Brazil-inspired outfit for the upcoming release.
Vinícius Junior is part of a collaboration with PlayStation ahead of the release of the Spider-Man 2 video game later this week.
One of the most hotly-anticipated games of the year, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, will be released exclusively on PS5 on Friday, 20 October. The upcoming game is the sequel to the much-loved 2018 release from Insomniac Games.
In the new title players will be able to switch between a number of suits for the eponymous hero, including one designed by Viní. The Real Madrid star confirmed his involvement in a post on social media, in which he announced the collaboration with KidSuper.
KidSuper is a clothing designer and social media personality who has worked with Vinícius to dream up a Brazil-inspired suit concept. Also included in the campaign are Formula One star Lando Norris and singer Rina Sawayama.
In some quarters Vinícius has been heralded as the long-term successor to Neymar Jr in the Brazilian national team. The Real Madrid man is known to be a huge admirer of Neymar and he may have been inspired by the former Paris Saint-Germain forward’s video game involvement.
In 2021 Neymar became the first athlete to receive a custom skin in Fortnite. Players could play as the Brazilian star in the game and could also unlock certain outfits and quests.
The in-game Neymar boasted a yellow, green and blue outfit with the number 10 emblazoned on the front. Players could even copy Neymar’s ‘Hang Loose’ celebration in the game.
