Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney will be back on our television screens over the summer as a pundit for Euro 2024. The 38-year-old has made a handful of recent appearances on Sky Sports, which followed a cameo on TNT Sports, and his presence in front of the camera will continue over the next few months as he represents the BBC.
Alongside Rooney, Micah Richards, Alan Shearer, Rio Ferdinand, Frank Lampard, Ellen White and Joe Hart will be dissecting the action as in-studio analysts. The bulk of Rooney's pundit appearances have arrived when Man United have been in action with the club's former striker not holding back on the size of the rebuild needed at Old Trafford.
"You have to build the team around Bruno [Fernandes]," he said following the 1-0 defeat to Arsenal earlier this month. "He's the one player with quality, he has got fight in him."
