Five West Ham United players have emerged as injury doubts for Sunday's Premier League clash against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
The Hammers make the trip across London on the back of suffering a 3-1 aggregate defeat to Bayer Leverkusen in the quarter-finals of the Europa League, drawing 1-1 at home in the second leg on Thursday night.
David Moyes's side were boosted by the return of star attacker Jarrod Bowen, who was thrown back into the starting lineup against Leverkusen after missing the previous two matches with a back issue.
Bowen provided an assist for Michail Antonio to open the scoring in the 13th minute, and the Englishman went on to complete the full 90 minutes at the London Stadium.
However, there are questions marks over Bowen's availability as well as four other Hammers players for Sunday's encounter with Palace, according to Moyes.
Five West Ham players to be assessed ahead of Palace clashNayef Aguerd started against Leverkusen, but hobbled off with an ankle problem on the stroke of half time, while Konstantinos Mavropanos (ankle), Alphonse Areola (groin) and Kalvin Phillips (hamstring) were all absent in midweek due to injury.
Providing an update on his squad at a press conference on Friday, Moyes said: «Jarrod's always quite robust, but I know he was really touch and go for last night's match, and he was really close to not playing.
»He took an injection before the fixture, so we'll need to see how he is and how he's reacted to that. It was a big boost to have him back, as it is whenever your big players are available to play.
«Nayef went over on his ankle, but we've not had the chance to assess him yet. Him and [Mavropanos] are both set to be checked, and then we'll know more ahead of the weekend.
