Guglielmo Vicario was in attendance to watch fellow Tottenham goalkeeper Josh Keeley play for Barnet in the National League on Tuesday evening. Making a big impression for his new club since making the move to Dean Brennan's team in January, football.london understands that Vicario along with Tottenham goalkeeper coach Rob Burch were in attendance at The Hive for Barnet's match against Rochdale.
Since joining the Bees at the turn of the year, Keeley has started 11 successive league games for the National League club as they bid to win promotion to League Two. The 20-year-old, on his latest appearance for his new team, kept a clean sheet as they secured a 2-0 win over Rochdale courtesy of Callum Stead's double.
Barnet are in second in the table following their latest victory but they are a huge 17 points off runaway leaders Chesterfield having played one game more. Given it's extremely unlikely the Spireites will drop enough points for the Bees to catch them in what remains of the season, Keeley and Barnet will have to try and win promotion via the National League play-offs.
Having joined Spurs from St Patrick's Athletic in July 2022 and going on to impress at the club, the Irishman has had the opportunity to train closely with Vicario in the first part of this term. Part of the club's pre-season squad for their summer tour, Keeley has also trained with fellow goalkeepers Fraser Forster, Brandon Austin and Alfie Whiteman at Hotspur Way.
