Manchester City midfielder Rodri believes his side's 4-1 win over Aston Villa on Wednesday night was one of their best performances of the season.
Rodri opened the scoring in the 11th minute of the game, but City were pegged back thanks to Jhon Duran’s goal. It took until added time in the first half for Pep Guardiola’s side to restore their lead through Phil Foden.
The academy graduate would go on to complete his hat trick in the second half, with his third goal a spectacular strike. The win sees City keep pace with both Arsenal and Liverpool at the top of the Premier League. The Reds are in action tonight as they take on Sheffield United at Anfield.

After the game against Villa, where City avenged a 1-0 loss from earlier in the season, Rodri was full of praise for the performance. He told TNT Sports: “Today we played amazing from the first minute.
“We conceded a goal with an action, but we kept faith in the game, and in general, I think it was one of the best games of the season.
“We knew that we had to have more players in the box when, with the way we play, in the game against Arsenal we played quite open and not occupying the spaces. It was tough because they played six at the back.
“There’s no secrets in football you have to arrive into the box to score goals and that was the message from the beginning of the game.”
The hat trick for Foden was the 23-year-old’s second of the season and saw him score his 19th, 20th, and 21st goals in all competitions so far this campaign. He has been a key played for City since breaking into
