Manchester United will host Arsenal just a week before the final matchday of the 2023/24 Premier League season in what could prove a hugely significant game in the title race.
With the Gunners locked in a three-way title battle with Liverpool and Manchester City, manager Mikel Arteta will have earmarked the visit to Old Trafford as potentially one of the biggest obstacles between them and a first league title in 20 years.
United have not exactly enjoyed a strong season, but they held Liverpool to a 2-2 draw at Old Trafford just three weeks after beating them 4-3 in the FA Cup quarterfinals, proving they can still go toe-to-toe with the best teams in the division.
They lost the reverse fixture against Arsenal 3-1 at Emirates Stadium back in early September, but they beat Arteta's men at home in 2022/23 by the same scoreline. The London club have not won away to United in nearly four years.
There is now a confirmed date and kickoff time for the match, by which time Arsenal will hope they are still firmly in title contention — or, perhaps, have already won it.

Manchester United host Arsenal on the penultimate Sunday of the 2023/24 Premier League season.
The game will take place on Sunday, May 12, 2024, with a local kickoff time of 4:30 p.m. BST (11:30 a.m. ET).
The Red Devils will then face Newcastle United three days later in a rearranged fixture before their final match of the league season away to Brighton & Hove Albion on May 19.
Arsenal, who will bid to win an away league game against Man United for the first time since November 2020, conclude their top-flight season against Everton at Emirates Stadium on May 19.
