Mohamed Salah believes Liverpool's rivalry with Manchester City has made him a better player - insisting their recent success has made the Reds "work harder than you usually do".
Salah and his team-mates travel to the Etihad in the early Premier League kick-off on Saturday afternoon looking for a first league victory in East Manchester since the early months of Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool reign in November 2015.
Should Liverpool emerge victorious from the clash with Pep Guardiola's side, they would move two points clear at the top of the Premier League table, adding real credence to their hopes of landing a second Premier League title in four years.

But despite suffering final-day heartbreak at the hands of Manchester City in 2019 and 2022, Salah says Liverpool's new-found rivalry with the Etihad outfit has elevated the performance levels at Anfield.
"It makes us [a] better team, it makes us better players and I'm sure it makes the manager a better manager as well," said Salah ahead of his 19th appearance against Manchester City since joining the Reds in 2017.
"When you always know that someone is going to win the games and someone is always waiting for you to lose a game, you always work harder than you usually do. It makes us [a] better team and better players."
Saturday's trip comes off the back of Klopp's side tallying four wins from their last five Premier League games, with Darwin Nunez recording two goals and two assists in that period.
