Reports that Chelsea have agreed to sign one of Brazil's hottest talents, Gabriel Moscardo, aren't entirely correct, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Brazilian outlet Band had claimed the Blues had agreed a £21million move for the Corinthians star, with former player and now pundit Neto claiming the deal was done. Speaking on his show Os Donos da Bola, he said:: «Moscardo was sold to Chelsea. That's the information I have, that’s why he didn't play [against Bahia].
»Chelsea play what? Premier League. Who runs the Premier League? Kia. Who runs the Premier League? Giuliano Bertolucci. This is the information I have. It may not be true. But it’s hard for me to make mistakes."
Chelsea are one of many clubs tracking Moscardo, with the Brazilian looking likely to be the next Brazilian to move to west London. The Blues have already landed Andrey Santos, Angelo Gabriel and Deivid Washington, with Andrey Santos signing in January.
However, Romano has stated that Paris Saint-Germain remains in the race. He wrote on X: «Paris Saint-Germain remain among clubs keen on signing Gabriel Moscardo. The race is open — including English clubs too,
»No agreement done with Chelsea and it doesn't look imminent with Chelsea at this stage."
